Washing and collecting water in a stream near a Maasai village, Tanzania. In the dry countryside of Tanzania, women and children often have to travel long distances to bring water for their family's needs. This village is lucky to have a stream within 200yds (200m). But this stream is used for all of the community?s needs, including drinking water and washing, as can be seen in this image. The women on the left appear to be washing clothes, while those on the right are collecting water for household use.
