Honeybee nest showing brood cells. All of the capped cells contain pupae, while two uncovered cells in the lower center section contain larvae. Along the far right side one of the honeybees is deep within a cell; all that can be seen is her abdomen. She is cleaning a cell from which a young adult bee recently emerged.
